Important informations here below
1.0 VSM Procedure
The VSM will be played as follows – A Grade Men Stroke play – B, C & Ladies Stableford. At the conclusion of the second round a seeded draw will take place for round three. There will be no opportunity for players to request tee times for all rounds.
There will be three grades for Men G.A Handicap – A Grade up to 9.9, B Grade 10 – 15.9, C Grade 16 – 27. There will be an A prize for Best Gross score in the A Grade. Ladies will have one grade although there is a prize for best gross score. Grades may be modified at the discretion of the match committee depending on confirmation of handicaps.
1.1 The men’s and ladies with the highest stableford score at the end of the competition will be the winners.
1.2 Prizes in each grade are for winners, runner up, 3rd place and best gross.
1.3 There are daily prizes for highest stableford and lowest gross score in each grade. Players are entitled to one daily prize only.
1.4 There are nearest the pins for all grades and these are unlimited.
2.0 Ties shall be determined by using the Golf Australia count back system. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by sudden death playoff over hole 18.
If insufficient time is available for a playoff winners will be determined by lot.
2.1 The VSM Match Committee will comprise the chairman of VSM plus 1 male and 2 female members of V.S.M committee, duly appointed to this role.
2.2 The decision of the V.S.M match committee as to acceptance of any entry will be final.
3.0 Rules of Play
The rules of Golf as adopted by R & A rules limited will apply together with any local rules as drawn up by the V.S.M match committee.
These rules will be displayed on the PVGCC Club House notice board.
4.0 Entries
4.1 GA Handicap
Once players have registered their handicaps, the committees will enter their playing handicap onto their score card. Rule 6.2b does not apply.
4.2 Age
Eligible players must be 50 years of age or over on the first VSM day of play.
5.0 Motorized Transport
Carts are permitted and are limited, they must be booked by players direct to PVG&CC, local caddies are available at a reasonable price.
Vanuatu Senior Masters takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts.
6.0 Starting Times
Competitors must register 30 minutes prior to their starting time on each day of play. Rule
6.3a will be strictly adhered to.
7.0 Pace of Play
Rule 6.7 will be strictly adhered to, players are expected to discontinue play of a hole once their stableford score is more than one over their fixed score.Noted applicable for A Grade
7.0 Caddy Bibs
Players using a caddy will be given a Bib for their caddies to wear, all caddies must wear a Bib.
The players must collect their Bib from their caddy at the completion of each days play. Bibs are to be returned to the scorers on the last day of play. Caddies not wearing a Bib may be asked to leave the course.
10.0 Act of God
Competition Rules, times and course may change due to circumstances beyond the control of the V.S.M and PVG&CC.
